Southeast Service Cooperative serves people and organizations in the areas of education, local government, and non-profit.  We also enjoy partnerships and sponsorships with private and public organizations.  The member organizations "own" this cooperative and govern it with elected officials from public schools and government units.  Here are the ways in which an organization can hold membership in SSC:

Education Member
- Education (voting) membership in the Cooperative is open to all public school systems that elect to pay the membership fee determined by the Board of Directors.  Education members have full participation and voting rights and privileges.  The annual fee is calculated from the base amount of $775 plus 75 cents per pupil unit (based on FY06-07 AMCPU, provided by MDE) with a maximum school district fee of $2,575.

Cities, Counties, and Other Governmental Subdivisions (CCOGA)  Governmental Unit (voting) membership in the Cooperative is open to all cities, counties, and other governmental units as defined in M.S. 471.59 (Joint Exercise of Powers) that elect to pay the membership fee determined by the Board of Directors.  The annual CCOGA Membership fee is calculated from the base rate of $100 plus $3.00 per staff person with a maximum CCOGA fee of $175.

Associate Member Associate (non-voting) membership is open to non-public school administrative units and other partnership agencies.  A public school district in the Southeast Service Cooperative primary area of service may elect associate membership status only if it is paying a membership fee to be a member of another service cooperative or if it is a charter school with an enrollment of less than 300 students.  The annual Associate fee is calculated from the base rate of $275 plus 75 cents per pupil unit (based on FY06-07 AMCPU capped at 1.0, provided by MDE) with a maximum fee of $875 per school system (several buildings may comprise one school system).

Non-Profit Member(Non-voting) Non-profit membership is open to non-profit organizations.  The annual non-profit fee is calculated from the base rate of $50 plus $3.00 per staff person with a maximum non-profit fee of $100.

Non-Member Participation Fee - Annual fee of $50 for up to two services.  The Environmental Health & Safety Management Program and the Health Pools exclude non-member participation.
